‘Gunshin’ (軍神) means ‘God of War.’

This gi was inspired by Admiral Yi Sun-sin, one of the most revered and legendary military leaders in Korean history.

The eight characters embroidered on the sleeves are taken from one of his poems:

三尺誓天 山河動色
With my sword raised, I swore to Heaven—the mountains and rivers shuddered in fear.

一揮掃蕩 血染山河
With a single strike, I swept away my foes—the mountains and rivers were stained with blood.

The battle list along the jacket skirt commemorates his greatest victories, including the legendary Battle of Myeongnyang, where he triumphed over 133 Japanese warships with only 12 of his own.

To honor this extraordinary feat, the number 12 is prominently featured on the gi.
